In August of 2005, the United States Congress passed the Energy Policy Act. The Energy Policy Act changes the start dates and the end dates of daylight saving time (DST). When this law goes into effect in 2007, DST will start three weeks earlier on March 11, 2007 and end one week later on November 4, 2007. These dates are referred to in this article as the "extended DST period."

Due to this change, all computers and server will need to be updated to reflect the change.

- download the second file listed for Windows XP SP2, please then run the file (files listed below).
- download the fourth file listed for Outlook 2003, please then run the install file (files listed below).
- Once the file has installed, you should be presented with a window such as the one found below:
- Please make sure the options are exactly as above, with your name referenced.
* If you wish to notify recipients for which you created calendar events (ie. A meeting for which you sent “invitees”), please check the option “Move meetings you organized to the new time zone and send updates”- Once the process is complete, you will be asked to confirm the number of changes to your calendar. Please accept.
